The first recipe I am sharing on YouTubers.Cooking will be a simple recipe on how to make a crispy chicken salad. It’s also one of my first YouTube video recipe I made. Made hassle free with very common ingredients.
The crispy chicken salad comes with some healthy vegetable topping. You can also change the vegetable to your choice. This salad meal is good for any day. If you feel like having a healthy snack, or you can serve it even as dinner. The vegetables bring a refreshing taste to the crispy chicken. I hope you will try and enjoy this recipe.
Ingredients
- chicken breast
- pepper
- salt
- seasoning of choice
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of water
- Dry batter
- 250gr flour
- 25 gr corn flour
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp seasoning
- Salad
- carrot
- pineapple
- cucumber
- corn
- lettuce
- mayonaise
The chicken breast
Start by cutting the chicken breast in the length by half. The pictures should give you an idea how to cut it. After this, sprinkle salt, pepper and seasoning of your choice to taste. Marinate both sides and when this is done, let the chicken breast absorb it. We will continue with the next steps.
Batter to make crispy chicken
Prepare 2 bowls: 1 will have egg mixed with 1/4 cup of water. The other bowl is for the flour mixture with corn flour, salt, pepper and seasoning. Stir the mixture by hand for a minute.
Add the chicken to the mix and massage the flour in softly. Turn the chicken and gently squeeze it as the flour sets in. After doing this more than several times, add the chicken covered in the dry batter, with the egg and water. Make sure it all gets covered.

We are going to repeat this process again: add the chicken again in the dry batter. Massage it gently again while turning it in the flour. Rinse and repeat one more time by adding the chicken in the egg with water mix and back in the batter.
Your chicken should now look similar like this:

Pre-heat the oil and fry the chicken on medium fire. Fry both sides equally by turning it every other minute until it’s golden brown. Take it out and let the oil drip
You now have a beautiful crispy chicken. Let’s work on the salad topping next.
Crispy Chicken Salad
For the next step I will be using a grater. It’s optional to have this, it just makes it easier when cutting. Cut the corn, cucumber, jicama, pineapple and carrot. Make sure that they’re tiny thin slices. This makes the eating just easier.
Now that everything is prepared it’s time to present it nicely on a plate. I start with the chicken and place the lettuce on top of it. After this I will add each of the ingredients on top of the lettuce.
To finish this salad up I use mayonaise. You can also use some other sauce that goes great for salad (like the thousand island saus/dressing). The end result looks tasty and delicious! Now dig and enjoy this simple salad meal


Crispy chicken salad
Equipment
- 1 grater optional
- 1 small frying pan
- 1 Knife
Ingredients
Chicken & marinating
- 1 chicken breast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp seasoning
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
Flour mixture / batter
- 250 gr flour
- 25 gr corn flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp seasoning
Salad
- 25 gr carrot
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 50 gr pineapple
- 1/4 steamed corn
- 1/4 jicama
- 1 sauce (mayonnaise or your choice)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast in 2
- Season the chicken with salt pepper and seasoning (of choice)
- Make the dry batter in a bowl by mixing the flour, salt, pepper, seasoning and corn flour
- Use another bowl to mix 1 egg with 1/4 cup of water
- add the chicken in the dry batter. Gently squeeze and turn the chicken breast so that everything is covered.
- Add the chicken to the mixture of egg and water.
- Add the chicken in the dry batter again and repeat the process so that everything is covered. If you want to you can add it in the egg mix a second time. But make sure to end this by covering it in the dry batter
- Fry in hot oil on a medium fire. Every other minute turn the chicken around to fry it equal on each side until golden brown. Then let it rest in a strainer so the oil can leak.
- Prepare the salad by cutting and grating the vegetables. Make sure that all, except for the lettuce, are in tiny pieces and slices. This makes the eating easier
- Add the crispy fried chicken to a plate. On top of this add the salad and on top of that the vegetable. Finish with a mayonnaise or a sauce of your choice
